The majority of watches have a standard lug that is designed to accommodate any watch band of the proper width. Our watch bands fit thousands of watches with lug widths between 18mm and 24mm.
Whether your original watch band is leather, silicone, nylon or even if it is a metal link bracelet, it most likely attaches to your watch head using spring bars and can be easily removed and replaced. If you are not sure how to do this, checkout the short videos in our FAQ.
The key to properly fitting a BARTON band to your timepiece is to first determine the proper lug width. In many cases, the lug width will be stamped on the underside of your current band. If not, it should be measured from the inside face of each lug at the point where the band attaches. Be sure to use a reliable metric ruler and measure in millimeters.
Alternatively, the lug width for most watches can be found online by googling the make/model of your watch along with the term "lug width". Do not google "band width" as many watch bands taper away from the lug.
If you are still stumped and unsure whether your watch will accommodate our bands, please don't hesitate to contact us with the make and model and we'll suggest some bands that will work.
Our Quick Release Silicone and Leather bands are designed to fit watches with a lug widths of exactly 18mm, 20mm or 22mm. Simply select the correct width band prior to adding it to your cart. Swapping a quick release band in or out takes no more than a few seconds. Simply insert one of the spring bar into the lug and then slide the quick release lever with your finger.
While the overwhelming majority of watches have 'even' lug widths, be aware that there are a few with 'odd' lugs such as 19mm, 21mm or 23mm. If your watch has an odd lug width our Quick Release bands may not be the best solution for you, but a NATO style strap could still be an option.
Our NATO Style Straps straps are sold in 18mm, 20mm, 22mm and 24mm widths and will also fit watches with lugs that have 'odd' widths. If your watch is between two widths, we recommend going with the larger width. The material is soft and should squeeze in nicely. If you are unsure how to attach a NATO style strap, it only takes a few seconds. The diagram below should help, but there is also a video and more information in our FAQ, if needed.
If you have made it this far and are still having trouble, please don't hesitate to contact us with the make and model of your watch and we'll let you know what bands are compatible.
Our Quick Release bands are designed to fit wrists between 5 1/2" and 8" in circumference. This will cover the vast majority of both men and women. If you are concerned about fit, feel free to test out the band and return it for a full refund if you are not pleased.
Our NATO Style Straps are available in two lengths. The 'standard' length (10") generally fits wrists from 5" to 7 1/2" in circumference and is available in widths of 18mm, 20mm and 22mm. The 'long' version (11") generally fits wrists from 6" to 8 1/2" and is available in 20mm, 22mm and 24mm widths. Those with wrists under 7" typically prefer the 'standard' length band and those with wrists over 7 1/4" typically prefer the 'long' band.
